FAQ
Find answers to common questions about kinesiology, family sessions, and how I support your emotional wellness.
What exactly is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology uses gentle muscle monitoring to access the body's subconscious and identify physical, emotional, or energetic imbalances. It supports the body's natural ability to restore itself to health.
What can I expect during my first session?
Sessions are calm and non-invasive. We discuss your goals and then use muscle testing to find clear shifts for your wellbeing. You remain fully clothed and supported throughout.
How does Kinesiology specifically help kids and families?
Kinesiology addresses the root cause of emotional and behavioral triggers. For children, it helps resolve anxieties, night terrors, or sensory processing issues. For families, it bridges the gap between parents and children, fostering a more harmonious home environment through shared emotional balance.
How many sessions are usually needed?
Every family's journey is unique. Many parents notice initial shifts in their child after just 1-3 sessions. For deeper-seated patterns or significant transitions, a small series of sessions is often recommended to ensure lasting resilience and emotional grounding.
Is it safe and gentle for my child?
Absolutely. Kinesiology is one of the most gentle therapies available. There is no physical manipulation or forceful techniques. We follow the child's lead, using soft muscle touch, and keep the environment warm and playful so they feel completely safe and supported.
What if my child doesn’t want to talk about their feelings?
That is perfectly fine! The beauty of kinesiology is that we don't rely solely on verbalizing emotions. Muscle monitoring allows the body to speak for itself. Your child can benefit deeply from a session even if they are quiet or just want to play nearby; I can often work through a parent as a surrogate.
Do both parents need to attend the session?
While it can be beneficial for both to be involved in the long term, only one parent is required to attend with the child. We focus on who is most available at the time to support the child's immediate emotional needs. If parents wish to work individually on their own family dynamics, separate sessions can be booked.
How does Kinesiology support children?
It is fantastic for navigating big emotions, sleep challenges, and activities or school transitions. By calming the child's nervous system, we help them feel more grounded and resilient.
Do you offer family-focused sessions?
Yes, we focus on the emotional wellbeing of the whole family unit. I often work with mothers and fathers individually, recognising that when a parent heals, the whole family thrives.
How do I book a session?
You can book directly through our 'Book a Session' buttons found throughout the site. This will lead you to our scheduler for Roseville clinic or online sessions.
